What this policy covers

This policy applies to the Intersect Studio app. It doesn't cover third-party websites we link to. Our marketing website is a simple static site that doesn't use tracking cookies.

What data we collect

Data that stays on your device

Your scenes, saved poses, and settings are stored locally on your device. We don't run a cloud service and don't receive your 3D scenes or images. If you use iCloud device backup, that's between you and Apple - we're not involved.

Photos (with your permission)

When you export an image, the app saves it to your Photos library using iOS's "Add Photos Only" permission. This means we can write exported images but cannot read or scan your existing photo library.

Purchase information

We receive basic information about your purchase (product type, subscription status, transaction IDs) to verify Pro access and handle restoration. Apple processes all payments - we never see your payment card or Apple ID details.

Analytics and crash reports

We collect anonymous usage data to understand how people use the app and fix crashes:

What we don't collect: Advertising IDs, precise location, contact information, or any data linked to a user account (since there are no accounts).

Why we use this data

To improve the app

Analytics and crash data help us understand what's working and what needs fixing. We have a legitimate interest in making the app better, and we keep this data collection minimal and anonymous.

Security and fraud prevention

We monitor for unusual patterns (like repeated refund abuse) to keep the app sustainable. This is part of running a legitimate business.

Your rights: If you're in the EU/UK or certain other regions, you can request deletion of analytics data we've collected. See "Your rights" below.

Who we share data with

Apple Inc. handles all purchases and subscriptions. They process payments and manage subscription lifecycles.

Analytics providers help us measure app usage and track down crashes. They aggregate the data and help us improve performance.

We don't sell your data. We don't share it for advertising. We only share what's necessary to make the app work and improve it.

How long we keep data

International data transfers

Our service providers may store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. When this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (like standard contractual clauses for EU data).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (especially in the EU/UK), you may have rights to:

To exercise these rights, email us at intersect.studio.app@gmail.com. We may ask for basic details (app version, device model) to locate your records. For analytics deletion, we'll request removal from our service provider.

Children's privacy

Intersect Studio is suitable for all ages. We use analytics strictly for app improvement, not advertising or tracking. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and our data collection is minimal and anonymous.

Parents: if you have questions about how we handle data, please reach out at intersect.studio.app@gmail.com.

Security

We use iOS security features like sandboxing and data protection. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in the app or on our website.
